GCI
To me the GCI is a relevant tool that can be used to see how your outlook of the world really is. Although I don't believe my scores reflect who I am or what I truly think, it does give a good start to applying my skills into a world that is continuously getting smaller due to globalization and the various clash of cultures. My perception management is very positive when it comes to exploring new ideas as well as people. The world is filled with such diversity that I feel I must try my best to understand why people are the way they are, which in turn can help me figure out why I am the way I am. When it comes to relationship management, I probably need to work on maintaining specific relations. This is due to the fact that while growing up I moved 5 times and always had to adapt to new settings. Even though it was easy for me to make friends and adjust, it was just as easy for me to leave those friends and move on with my life. i have still yet to determine if this is a negative or a positive asset when it comes to the business world. Lastly, the self managment category to me, defines what you think of yourself. Personally, I have high levels of confidence in my abilities to speak and work hard. One flaw might be that I do tend too stress out a lot, but I am constantly working to find new ways to reduce the nerves and focus on positive aspects in my life.

I agree with you that globalization is connecting and decreasing in size the world of today. I am sure that moving 5 times during your youth must have been a harsh experience, as you explain. Yet you have managed to always be positive of the outcome and easily adjust to unpresedented situations. Having the skill to quickly bounce backup and gather yourself is an advantage to those whose lack competency and comprehension.
