Cross-Culture Assignment

Today's exercise was very invigorating and eye-opening. Although I have had opportunities to interact with people of different cultures (if I average out how many times I've been out of the country over my cognitive lifespan, I would say I go out of the country every other year, or maybe once every 2-3 years).

This still didn't really prepare me for the simulation in class today.

After we finished the activity, we debriefed and went over the thoughts and perceptions of people from both "cultures." It was interesting to see the words that manifested on the board, perhaps reflecting how each of us views a different culture when confronted with a real-life/real-world scenario.

I think having activities such as these for all people of all ages who interact in diverse groups should take part, and perhaps even include a business training (for companies) that occurs once every month (or even more often), which could be beneficial to people who become complacent. Even young children can learn.
