GCI

After analyzing the feedback report of the Global Competencies Inventory, the scores seem valid to me because it shows true insight about my personality. I scored pretty high on most of all factors of the global competency and I believe is because I have traveled to different countries and gained experience from others. When traveling seeing sites and meeting people from other backgrounds, experiencing new cultures, different food, cloths, languages, traditions, beliefs, and other ways of living life makes our knowledge to expand to be wider to see life in a different perspective. Something I have learned from traveling is that it taught me to value what I have and to always respect others. The most significant lesson I have learned from this instrument is that as individuals we can somehow describe and evaluate ourselves, and we can work on certain dimensions of our human behavior to improve our lives. Some of my major strengthens are perception management, relationship management; however, in the dimensions of emotional sensitivity and tolerance of ambiguity I scored low. I can say that that these two dimensions are my weaknesses because many times I am not aware of how others are feeling or consider the situations or challenges that others may face. Also, in regards to tolerance of ambiguity I rather know exactly what to do because I do really dislike when things are unclear or I do not know what is happening. However, I know is always to stay calm in any situations because it allows more time and capability to think and manage problems is a better way. I will definitely will try to develop and improve these two dimensions more effectively at work, school, and at my daily life occasions.
